The ASF virus was detected in wild boars in Odessa region

ODESSA-KIEV. April 10. UNN. In the DNA of wild boars in the Odessa area found the virus of African swine fever. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in press-service GU of the state foods and consumer service in the Odessa region.

According to the study of samples of biomaterials, selected from the 4 heads of wild boars hunted for monitoring of African swine fever in the hunting grounds, OOO MT South Karmeliukova hunting Balta district, Odessa region, in one sample revealed DNA of the virus.

According to the inventory in the hunting farm there are about 40 head of wild boars. In the outbreak of the disease, the measures for containment and prevention of spread of the causative agent of ASF.

We will remind, on compensation of losses from Achs Odessa spent about 3 million UAH .

As reported UNN, according to S. Trigubenko, the relevant agencies have left farmers alone with the disastrous consequences of ASF.
