The Russian Ambassador in Zagreb Anvar Azimov commented on the possibility of opening resorts of Croatia for tourists.

According to him, Russian tourists remain welcome in Croatia.
The diplomat said that given the pandemic of the Croatian tourism sector is preparing to receive tourists from neighbouring States since the second half of June, but for the citizens of Russia, the quarantine remains.
“Yet, considering the development of a pandemic in Russia, our country remains in the list of countries the citizens of which is prohibited. But with regard to the interest of the Croatian side in our tourists, I think by the end of the summer these restrictions will be lifted and our tourists will have the opportunity to visit Croatia,” said Anvar Azimov, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He added that the situation will largely depend on the timing of the opening of flights between the two countries.
Earlier, as reported BAFS “the Economy today”, the Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia Maya Lomidze assessed the prospects of the opening of the domestic destinations.
