Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in response to the incessant attacks of the militants of the movement “Taliban”* gave the military orders to launch an offensive on the Taliban*, said Tuesday the Afghan Tolo News publication.
“In a televised address, Ghani said that the Taliban* ignored repeated calls to reduce violence and ceasefire. He added that the call for ceasefire does not mean weakness; it means commitment to peace”, reports Tolo News.
The President called on the Taliban* to support peace initiatives, reports “Interfax”.
On Tuesday it was reported that the militants attacked a hospital in the district of Dasht-I-barci in Kabul: five civilians were killed, including women and children, another four people were injured. However, the Taliban* denied involvement in the attack.
