Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen has sworn in a new coalition government of the Republic consisting of the conservative Austrian people’s party (övp) and Green party. The government of Austria for the greater part of the modern history of the Republic is formed from two political forces on the principle of senior and Junior partner of the coalition because no one party after the Second world war had not yet managed to get the vast majority of votes in the elections to the sole formation of the Cabinet.
The new government is represented by 10 Ministers from the ANP, four Ministers from the “Green”. From the “Green” party Minister of the environment, transport, infrastructure and technology became the Leonora Geissler, Minister of justice – Alma of Tadic, Minister of social Affairs, consumer protection and health – Rudy Unsober. In addition to Ministers, the government included two of the state Secretary from each party from the NGA at the Ministry of ecology – Magnus Brunner, from the “Green” in the office of the Vice-Chancellor Ulrike Lunacek.
33-year-old Kurtz the second time he occupied the post of Chancellor of Austria and was again the youngest head of government in the European Union. Before that, in 2013, at the age of 27 he became the youngest foreign Minister in Austrian history.

In Austria in may 2019 has sparked a political scandal called “Ibiza-gate”. The German publication Spiegel and Süddeutsche Zeitung have distributed a short excerpt video of 2017 with the participation of the leader of the Austrian freedom party of Heinz-Christian strache and his assistant Johanna Gudenus. The footage, taken with a hidden camera, they discussed with some Russian-speaking woman, posing as the niece of the Russian oligarch, the possibility of granting her easier access to construction contracts in Austria in return for financial support the Austrian freedom party (fpö) before the parliamentary elections.
