Searches in the city Council of Boryspil: officials suspected of extorting bribes from businessmen
KIEV. July 19. UNN. The searches that take place in the city Council of Boryspil are carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings on suspicion of officials in extortion and receiving improper benefits from entrepreneurs. About it UNN reported in a press-service of Prosecutor’s office of Kiev region.
“The Prosecutor of the Kiev region exposed officials of Boryspil city Council, which received undue benefit in the amount of more than 60 000 hryvnia. During a pretrial investigation it is established that one of the Vice-Boryspil city mayor using his official position, in collusion with other officials of Boryspil city Council organized a criminal scheme of extortion and receiving undue advantage from business entities for the conclusion of contracts on performance of works, rendering of services, the supply of commodity material values for the budget. Further, undue benefit of Boryspil, Deputy mayor distributed among other employees of the city Council”, – reported in Prosecutor’s office.
The Prosecutor’s office of Kiev region together with GUNP in the Kiev region in the operational support of Department of protection of the economy in the Kiev region, the officials revealed. Now in Boryspil city Council, and also at the place of residence of the officers continue searches. Preparing the presentation of the official notification of suspicion of committing a crime under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine (obtaining illegal benefit by the official on preliminary arrangement by group of persons).
As reported UNN, law enforcement officers came to search the city Council of Boryspil.
