SAP filed a case of bribery former employee of the GPU

KIEV. March 10. UNN. Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office sent to court indictment against the former Deputy chief of Department of maintenance of buildings and structures and the social Management of the logistics of the General Prosecutor’s office for all officers of the State audit service improper benefits, reports UNN with reference to SAP message in Facebook.

“Yesterday, March 10, 2017 Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office sent to court for consideration on the merits indictment against the former Deputy chief of Department of maintenance of buildings and structures and the social Management of logistics of the General Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine on suspicion in granting to officers of the State audit service illegal gains, on signs of the crime provided by part 4 of article 369 of the Criminal code of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.

According to prosecutors, the investigation established that the employee of GPU, knowing that the auditors of the State audit service of Ukraine carried out audit of financial and economic activities of the GPU, in order to conceal the violations of Ukrainian legislation in the procurement of goods and services for maintenance of buildings of the GPU and as a result, to avoid legal liability, including criminal, in December 2016, has made contact with the auditors, who checked his statements and offered through intermediaries $ 5,000, for assistance in the preparation of the audit act without reflection in it of the revealed violations. However, under the procedural management of SAP prosecutors, detectives NAB the criminal activity of the specified employee, the GPU has been discontinued and sabcomeline, added the Prosecutor.

“During judicial consideration of criminal proceedings prosecutors SAP will defend a principled position on the inevitability of punishment”, – reported in SAP.

Provided that in the case of recognition of guilt of that person by the court, to it threatens imprisonment for the term from five till ten years with confiscation of property.

It is reported that SAP performs procedural management in criminal proceedings, pre-trial investigation of which is conducted by the detectives NAB on the facts of possible embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of 1,8 million hryvnias officials of the General Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine at the conclusion and execution of contracts for the execution of works and services on signs of the crime provided by part 5 of article 191 UK of Ukraine which sanction prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from seven till twelve years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years and with confiscation of property.
