Sanctions against Ukraine will not be, – organizers of the Eurovision song contest
The position of the EMU is not changed and the Union is trying to find a solution that would enable all 43 participants to participate in the contest
The organizers of the contest “Eurovision” has denied the information about sanctions against Ukraine because of the situation with the Russian singer Yulia Samoilova.
This is reported by the world’s media with reference to Sputnik.
We will note, earlier in the Swiss newspaper Blick published an interview of the Director General of the European broadcasting Union Ingrid Deltenre. In the material, in particular, that the EBU is considering a temporary suspension of Ukraine from Eurovision and other sanctions.
However, a spokesman of the organizers said that according to the General rules and procedures of the EMU, in case of violation of any of the broadcasting company the discussion of this question and decision about further actions is carried out after the competition.
Regarding the situation of Samoilova, the press Secretary said that the position of the EMU is not changed and the Union is trying to find a solution that would enable all 43 participants to speak in Kiev.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the Eurovision organizers have confirmed that can exclude Ukraine from the competition.
