Samsung Electronics America presented a special version of the smartphone Galaxy S20, intended for the army – Galaxy S20 Tactical Edition. Despite the army’s specific design, this is essentially the same S20 with some additional features FOR the more durable special housing Juggernaut.

From the point of view of filling Tactical Edition was very similar to the “civilian” fellow – 6.2-inch OLED display, OCTA core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 865 c 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, support for sub-6GHz 5G and triple rear camera.

According to Samsung, the tactical version of the smartphone “meets the unique needs of military operators” by offering additional software features – in particular, night vision turns off the display when using night vision goggles, as well as “stealth mode” which disables LTE transmitter and receiver.

Tactical Edition is equipped with Samsung DeX, thanks to which it can be used as a normal PC monitor connection, keyboard and mouse. It can be used to prepare reports, conduct training and planning missions while in the car or when you return to base.

The smartphone is protected by a security system Knox system of double encryption DualDAR, relevant safety standards of the U.S. government for the army. To be sold to consumers Tactical Edition will not.
