ODESSA-KIEV. 1 Dec. UNN. The Russians, who took an active part in the hostilities against the Ukrainian military, will be tried in Odessa region. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of the Prosecutor of Odessa region.

“The investigation established that the citizen of the Russian Federation in 2014 became part of the leadership of terrorist organizations “LNR” and “DNR” and in June of 2017 took an active part in the hostilities against the Ukrainian military. It should be noted that the suspect had considerable experience of warfare on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and Georgia”, – stated in the message.

According to the investigation it is known that the alien personally tortured prisoners of war and agitated the local population to join the ranks of illegal armed groups.

The man was detained by employees of USBU in Odessa region in June 2017, when tried to illegally forged documents of the citizen of Ukraine across the territory of the state to travel to Moldova. At the request of the Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region the suspect is in custody.

Recall that the Ukrainian law for committing a crime under part 1 of article 258-3 of the criminal code (participation in a terrorist organization, organizational support of establishment and activities) provided for up to 15 years in prison.
