Russia wants to make its alternative to the Olympics in 2018

In Russia thinking about creating alternative events, instead of the Olympics-2018, which Russia will not participate. It is reported Xsport.

The President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov said, “For those athletes who decide not to go to the Olympic games, you need to hold an alternative competition.”

However, he urged not to blame the lack of patriotism of those Russian athletes who decide to go to the Olympics under a neutral flag.

On 5 December, the international Olympic Committee has suspended Russia from participating in the Olympic winter games held in South Korea in 2018.

A number of athletes have already declared that are ready to be tested for doping and to compete under a neutral flag.
