Rada postponed the abolition of VAT refunds to exporters of soybeans and rapeseed

KIEV. 21 Dec. UNN. Verkhovna Rada (VR) has postponed the abolition of VAT reimbursement during export of soybeans until September 1, 2018, and rape – until January 1, 2020. Comments about this UNN said the MP, member of the agrarian Committee of Parliament Mykola Kucher.

“Parliament has decided that until the first of September 2018 it will be the return of VAT on exports of soybeans. Also, this rule will be adopted by the first of January 2020 relative to canola. The sunflower decided that the rate of return of export VAT in General is cancelled”, – said M. Kucher.

We will remind, on December 7, along with amendments to the Tax code, the deputies passed a controversial amendment No. 180 repealing the VAT refund to producers of soybeans, rapeseed and sunflower.

The deputies of the agrarian Committee of Parliament stated that it was adopted “behind the scenes”, with violation of the rules.

According to General Director of Association “Ukrainian agribusiness club” Taras Vysotskyi, edit No. 180 is beneficial only to large companies – processors that operate in the domestic market. The largest of these is the kernel that belongs to the people’s Deputy, member of the tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Vitaly Homutynnik.

The damage to farmers, according to preliminary data, will amount to 12 billion UAH. In protest against a backroom lobbying of interests of one company, farmers came out in several regions of Ukraine.

Yesterday, the farmers went on strike in the capital.

Concerned was the President of the country. Therefore, the Chairman of the tax Committee of Parliament Nina Southerner proposed a compromise, which actually lie today and voted.
