Putin allowed the army of the separatists to join the armed forces
Military of South Ossetia can officially serve in the Russian army
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law on ratification of agreement between Russia and breakaway South Ossetia on the order of occurrence of the individual units of the unrecognized education in the Armed forces of Russia.
The law was published on 5 February on the official portal of legal information.

The agreement provides that military from the occupied region of Georgia will be able to sign a contract and serve in the Armed forces of the Russian Federation (the candidate must first be discharged from military service in the Ossetian army and have Russian citizenship).
The agreement was concluded for 25 years with possibility of automatic prolongation.
