Pujdeme called the actions of the Spanish “attack” on Catalonia

The Chairman of the government of Catalonia Carles Pujdeme called the actions of Madrid in the Autonomous region, “the worst attack since the days of dictator Francisco Franco”. It is reported by the 112 Ukraine with reference to El Pais.

In his speech Pujdeme called on the regional Parliament to convene a plenary meeting to discuss the attempt to eliminate the government of Catalonia, and then “act accordingly”.

Referring in English to the European community, the Prime Minister of the region reminded that Catalonia is one of the oldest European democracies, which fights for fundamental rights.

We will remind, on October 21, the Spanish authorities adopted a decision on the resignation of the Catalan government.
