16 November at 19:00 in the newest exhibition space of contemporary digital art and media art SAMSKARA in the framework of the international cultural and social art project ARTEFACT will be a presentation of “Sounds of Chernobyl”.

We invite representatives of the media and the art community to feel the full immersion into the world of new media art and to get acquainted with the latest technologies and their combination with art!

SAMSKARA – this is the largest such exhibition in the world, will now work in Ukraine:

  • 2,000 square meters of a combination of the latest technology and art;
  • more than 70 paintings and holograms,
  • VR-game
  • interactive installations and incredible scenery
  • An 18-metre panorama with the works of Android Jones is the author of concepts of characters and landscapes for the “STAR WARS” and “Avatar” James Cameron and Nintendo games, striking installations at the Burning Man festival (USA), interactive projection on the Empire state building and the Sydney Opera house,
  • and fulldome theater show Samskara 360, which has received 4 world cinema awards.

This is a huge space to gain new experience and impressions, to meet one-on-one with innovative technology and exploring the new contemporary media art.

In this space the first time will be presented “Sounds of Chernobyl” – library music samples, created from sounds recorded in the exclusion Zone.

Is the first series of the library of the author of the art project, artist of media art RASSVET Valery Korshunov. This artist, with Christophe Ethier (TELEPOPMUSIK), a musician of world renown and a nomination for a Grammy, will be the first one to create on the basis of “Sounds of Chernobyl” is the soundtrack to digital sculpture ARTEFACT that November 22 is activated for a single day in Chernobyl and using artificial intelligence to communicate with users. After library samples will be published on one of the world’s leading music services.

ABOUT ARTEFACT:

The main idea of the international cultural and social ARTEFACT project – to encourage conscious consumption and dissemination of information. Today, due to the total saturation of the information space, the dominance of fakes and posttrade every other weak media literacy becomes a critical issue. Activation ARTEFACT in the exclusion zone should attract the attention of the world community to this problem.
