The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has published the text of the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the Ukrainian language.
“This is signed by the Patriarchal and Synodal Tomos we recognize and proclaim to the installed, within the territory of Ukraine, the Autocephalous Church of our spiritual daughter, and invite all the world’s Orthodox churches to recognize her as a sister and to remember her under the name of “the Holy Church of Ukraine” as such that has the historic Department of the city of Kiev, could not appoint bishops or to establish a parish outside the state; existing now obey according to the order of the Ecumenical Throne, which has canonical authority in the Diaspora, because the jurisdiction of this Church is limited to the territory of the Ukrainian State”, – said in the text of the Tomos.
The text also says that the Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine and bishops of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine shall be elected in accordance with the canons and in accordance with the provisions of the Charter.

In addition, the Ukrainian Church must also be involved in the solution of important canonical and other issues in medupravlenie meetings.
It is also noted that the Autocephalous Church recognizes the primacy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, “as well as other Patriarchs and primates”.
Recall Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew after the signing of the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine said that the Ukrainian people have been waiting for this blessed day as many as seven centuries. Tomos, as stated by the Patriarch, brings the Ukrainian Church to the level of a 14-year-sister churches that make up the “fullness” of our Holy Orthodox Church.
