Police seized marijuana to 2 million UAH from two residents of Transcarpathia

UZHGOROD-KIEV. 27 Oct. UNN. The police of Transcarpathia seized from two residents of Chop 12 pounds of marijuana. As reported UNN in the Department of communication of the police of the Transcarpathian region, the value of the seized drugs may reach 2 million.

“During the inspection of the house 51-summer inhabitant of Chop in the attic police found roughly crushed substance of a phytogenesis, weighing about 2 kg. Mixture similar to marijuana were seized and sent for examination. Another case of possession recorded in chop. During the inspection of premises 57-year-old local resident employees of the Department of counteraction of narcocrime found and seized from the attic 10 kilograms of marijuana. Drugs sent for examination. The police found that the man he cultivated the marijuana” — said the press-Secretary GU NP in the Transcarpathian region Tatiana Shchegoleva.

The police also reported that both men live on the same street. The investigation is ongoing.

On the specified facts criminal proceedings on CH. 2 and CH. 3 St. 307 criminal code, i.e. drug possession. Sanctions of articles prescribe, in the first case, to imprisonment for a period of 5 till 10 years with confiscation of property, and the second from 8 to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
