Parents will be judged for the death of three year old son from torture and hunger

KIEV. January 10. UNN. In Kharkov the local Prosecutor’s office has sent to court the case of parents who are accused of torturing three year old son. This was reported to UNN in the press service of the Prosecutor of Kharkiv region.

The indictment against the father and mother of a three year old boy who died from hunger and torture in September 2017, was sent to the Oktyabrsky district court of Kharkiv.

Provided that previous convictions for stealing the baby’s father systematically beat the child. And this happened in the presence of the mother, but, she didn’t even try to stop the bullying.

As noted, after another beating in August 2017 the child had a broken leg. A few days later the father broke the son still ribs. The boy stopped walking. But, instead, to take the child to the hospital, the father continued to torture the child. As a result, the boy had still severe traumatic brain injury. All this time the child suffered physical pain and for a long time did not eat anything. Then the boy fell into a coma, said the Prosecutor’s office.

“The ambulance called a friend of his mother, who came to visit. 26 Sep 2017 toddler in critical condition physical exhaustion and injuries were taken to the hospital. In the morning, not regaining consciousness, the boy died. According to conclusions of experts, the death was caused by hunger and constant physical and psychological abuse that had the character of extreme suffering and lasted more than a year”, – said the head of the local Prosecutor’s office Alexander Filchakov.

26-year-old mother is charged with willful neglect of duty to care for the child, resulting in serious consequences and grievous bodily harm resulting in death (article 166, part 2 of article 121 of the criminal code of Ukraine). 31-year-old father -of torture, the intentional infliction of bodily harm and intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in death (part 1 of article 127, part 1 of article 122, part 2 of article 121 of the criminal code of Ukraine).

Now, at the request of the Prosecutor’s office the father remains in custody. To mother applied the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest.
