KIEV. June 23. UNN. Previously convicted 27-year-old unemployed resident of Zhytomyr region is suspected of illegal deprivation of liberty. He faces up to 5 years imprisonment. This is reported by UNN with reference to the division of communications of the police in Kharkiv region.

“27-the summer jobless earlier judged inhabitant of Zhytomyr region suspected of illegal deprivation of liberty”, – stated in the message.

We will remind that employees of the national police, together with the Kharkov city Prosecutor’s office No. 2 exposed the Centre to combat drug and alcohol abuse in Novosibirskiy area of the city.

Established that the man with accomplices had rented the apartment under the pretext of assistance in eliminating dependence on alcohol or addiction invited citizens to the premises. The attackers had brought them and their relatives in the delusion for the purpose of receiving cash as a reward, at the same time providing these individuals the real help to get rid of alcohol dependence or drug abuse was not provided.

Opened a criminal investigation under part 2 of article 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article provides till 5 years of imprisonment.
