Officials in Odessa Gosrybagentstvo exposed bribery

KIEV. July 31. UNN. Police have detained one of the mediators during the regular collection of tribute on a total amount of 100 thousand UAH. This is reported by UNN with reference to press center of the security Service of Ukraine.

Officials of the black sea basin management of the State Agency of fisheries, regularly receiving money from poachers for the catch of fish and shellfish in the Black sea, was denounced in Odessa region employees of SBU together with the military Prosecutor.

Operatives of the intelligence agencies have documented the systematic receipt of bribes by officials. In the corruption scheme involved officials from the rank and file inspectors and so-called “public supervisors” who directly received the funds to regional and Central control structures. According to preliminary estimates from only one commercial structure “catch” the bribes for the season amounted to about 2 million UAH.

“The law enforcers arrested one of the mediators during the regular collection of tribute on a total amount of 100 thousand UAH. A few days earlier the staff of SBU documented the fact of receiving another facilitator of illegal benefit in the amount of 60 thousand UAH”, – stated in the message.

Open criminal proceedings under part 3 St. 368 Criminal code of Ukraine. Mediators announced on suspicion of committing a crime.

As reported UNN, July 20, officials “Voentorgservis” will be judged in Odessa for bribery.
