The security service of Ukraine on Sunday, March 19, in Odessa detained members of the Kremlin’s subversive group, preparing the ground for the creation of so-called “Odessa Republic”.

According to the head of the office of the Chairman of SBU of Oleksandr Tkachuk, led a group participant of the tragic events that occurred at the Odessa Kulikovo field on may 2, 2014. He stated this today, March 22, during a briefing, transfers “Диалог.UA”.

According to the SBU, was detained four members of the group. In regard to six people conducted the proceedings. Supervisors were in charge of the saboteurs from Moscow. They have developed for their agents the legend, methods of communication and the fees for the work performed. Deputy head of the saboteurs were made by a former member of the armed forces. His task was to recruit agents from among former and current Ukrainian military. Some of the group members as a leader, were participants in the tragic events on the Kulikovo field.

The first task of the group was the establishment of intelligence network in the city. In addition, the duties of saboteurs consisted of copying official documents, observation of military installations and relocation of military equipment and personnel of the Ukrainian army.

In SBU noted that the group was formed late last year and operated mainly in the South of Ukraine. In addition, one of the commandos visited the area ATO.

During the searches the members of the group seized weapons and ammunition, including seven improvised explosive devices filled with nails. In addition, the staff of SBU withdrew from saboteurs list with the names of seven Ukrainian activists in the region with the indication of place of residence and the route of movement.
