Odessa region need 12 million doses of measles immunization
The question lies in the competence of the Ministry of health
The head of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov appealed to the Ministry of health of Ukraine with the request to provide the Odessa region with the necessary number of vaccines against measles.
As reported a press-service of regional administration, currently, the vaccination coverage against the disease in the region reached 93%. In order to ensure herd immunity at 95% Odessa needed another 12 thousand doses of vaccines.
“In Odessa, in particular, we ran out of vaccine. For the past two weeks, we are trying to get a proper redistribution of the Ministry of health. This issue is within the competence of the Ministry”, – said Stepanov.
