The Minister of foreign Affairs Vadym Prystayko said in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“The issue of black sea security – this is precisely the theme of the visit of NATO in Ukraine. And assistance on the black sea front – this is a priority for us now. In Odessa, they will visit the foreign warships, which will meet with the leadership, meet with our sailors, with our students. I hope you understand the situation in which Ukraine ended up being on the black sea coast. After that they will go to Kiev where will be a meeting with the military-political leadership of the state,” said Pristayko.
He expressed the hope that the members of the North Atlantic Council, NATO will get a clear picture of the situation on the black sea coast and will adopt an appropriate package of care, “which is called “black package” proposed by the Alliance Ukraine.”
As reported the UNIAN, on April 4 in Washington, the member countries of NATO have agreed on measures to strengthen security in the black sea region by providing aid to Ukraine and Georgia. In particular, the Alliance will help in the training of military personnel of the Navy and coast guard.
