Naftogaz will soon file a complaint against “Gazprom”

KIEV. March 5. UNN. The team of “Naftogaz” intends to file a complaint against the Russian “Gazprom” in accordance with the law on competition. This was announced by Executive Director of the group “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko, speaking at a round table in Brussels, reports the correspondent of UNN.

“We believe that in Europe there is the rule of law, there is a working legal system, as evidenced by our victory in the Stockholm arbitration. That’s why we are determined to continue on this path, and perhaps this is the first time I will say that we firmly intend to bring to the attention of the EU abuses and illegal actions of “Gazprom” in the form of a complaint under the law on competition, which we plan to submit at the end of April 2019,” – said Vitrenko.

Speaking during the round table, he also expressed confidence that Russia will not use Ukrainian gas transit route after the completion of the contract in 2019.

“They will use any excuse or they will not even use any excuses, they simply won’t use the Ukrainian transit system. It will mean that Ukraine will lose about 4% of its GDP. Now we have more economic growth, so next year we will have an economic downturn,” he said.

Recall that the Hague arbitration court ruled in favor of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” in the case of the need to compensate for the losses of the company for the loss of assets in Crimea over the annexation of the Peninsula by Russia.

The Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation said that Russia does not recognize the decision of the court of Arbitration in the Hague plea of the Russian Federation in the loss of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” of their assets in Crimea after the annexation of the Peninsula Russia.
