NABOO: the Deputy of the Odessa regional Council was offered a bribe to the detective Bureau

The Deputy of the Odessa regional Council, is suspected of bribing a detective of the National anti-corruption Bureau in the amount of $500 thousand. About it reports a press-service of NABOO.

Deputy and his alleged accomplice employees of the Bureau and Prosecutor General’s office announced on suspicion today, January 12.

Actions suspects qualified under part 3 of article 369 of the criminal code (the offer, promise or giving undue advantage to an official).

According to NABU, a bribe to the detective offered in exchange for the removal of arrest from accounts of the firms involved, according to the investigation, in the scheme of appropriation of budget funds by the sale of Odessa city hall building at inflated prices. In the Bureau suggest that the suspect MP is a beneficiary (beneficiary) of the above mentioned company.

Now the issue of election of the two persons involved in the measure.

NABU remind that the building of the Odessa state enterprise “Plant of the region” in early 2016 was sold for 4 million UAH, and in September of the same year it was purchased by the city Council of the city has over 185 million UAH.

These facts the detectives Bureau began to investigate in November 2016, and in December of the same year was initiated by the arrest of accounts of the company, the defendant.

The name of the suspect Deputy NABOO, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, did not disclose.

Meanwhile, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s office reports that law enforcement officers are trying to establish the whereabouts of defendants absconding.

“Searches are carried out at the place of registration and possible location of the suspects with the purpose of delivery of the petition for election measures of restraint in form of detention”, – is spoken in the message.

If these searches are not successful or suspects will not come to the investigator, the Deputy and his accomplice will be announced in national and international wanted list, noted in GPU.
