Muzhenko said the adoption of the Javelin service in APU
Uncategorized January 17, 2018American anti-tank systems of the latest generation of Javelin, which should come into service of Ukraine, appear in possession of the Ukrainian military within six months. This was during a visit to the Brussels headquarters of NATO Deputy chief of the General staff Viktor Muzhenko, writes UNIAN.
Speaking about the timing of supply, the army General said that he had talked about it with colleagues from the countries of the Alliance.
“They referred to different periods – from two to five or six months,” – said the commander of the armed forces.
According Muzhenko, to obtain these weapons, you must have a properly prepared space for storage.
“All these issues worked out, we already have such places are identified, ongoing training and problems on objects where to store such weapons, we will not. Nobody is going to give, to give, or even, say, leave it in battle. This weapon, which comes to the armament of the Ukrainian army to enhance the capabilities of the APU as an element of deterrence in the confrontation with the Russian Federation”, – said the chief of staff.
Earlier today, Muzhenko said that the armed forces are preparing to take on arms “javelin”.

Later, the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch statedthat at least part of the supply of lethal weapons from the us government will be free.
