KIEV. April 26. UNN. MP from the faction of the Opposition Bloc Igor Shurma during a speech in Parliament leading the meeting — the Deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Oksana Syroid was deprived of speech by turning off the microphone during his speech about the tragedy on may 2, 2014 in Odessa, reports UNN with reference to the page block.

As reported in the political party Oksana Syroid banned the representative of the faction of the Opposition Bloc, headed by MP Vadim Novinsky, to continue his speech and to voice the position of the faction on the need to investigate Odessa tragedy on may 2, 2014, to punish the murderers of 48 victims of Odessa, as well as Express sympathy to the relatives of the victims.

“The day that we have no right to forget – may 2, 2014, the day of the horrific fire in Odessa House of trade unions, which killed 48 of our fellow citizens. 26 children were left orphans, 45 peaceful protesters are still being held under arrest, the families deprived of any help from the state, and most importantly – faith in justice and justice of their own country,” – said from the rostrum of the Parliament Igor Shurma.

“Turn off the microphone. Well-known fact that the harbinger of the events in Odessa were Russian troops from Russia and Transnistria, so you have the right to speak only about what does not divide Ukrainians or adjourning the meeting”, – said Oksana Syroid.

The result of the people’s Deputy from the opposition faction could not finish his speech.

“All violent death of civilians in Odessa, Kiev, in the Donbass or elsewhere, also deserve the attention of the public, and investigate and punish the perpetrators, and condemnation of society,” – concluded Igor Shurma.

The Opposition Bloc faction is convinced that the tragedy, silence and unpunished massacres in Odessa is complicity in crime against humanity.

“Abusing powers of officer presiding over the sitting of the Parliament, Oksana Syroid let the parliamentary activities of the MP, preventing Igor Shurma to read the Deputy appeal to the law enforcement authorities about the report of the investigation and the Authorized BP on human rights on the provision violated the right to access to justice for the victims’ families,” said block.

According to them, the Vice-speaker of the Parliament blatantly violated the oath of people’s Deputy and article 88 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which obliges the presiding officer to adhere strictly to the Law of Ukraine on the Verkhovna Rada.

“When the MP is not given an opportunity to talk about their everyday concerns, people need to think about who they trusted the government five years ago. It is disrespectful to the Odessa tragedy of the Ukrainian people”, – said Igor Shurma, commenting on the incident.
