MH17 disaster: the Russian foreign Ministry announced the date of the meeting with Australia and the Netherlands

KIEV. January 11. UNN. Negotiations on the organization of the meeting between Russia, Australia and the Netherlands concerning downed in 2014 in the East of Ukraine Malaysian Boeing flight MH17 are continuing, and the first contact in a trilateral format could take place in the coming months. This was during a briefing on Friday, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports the correspondent of UNN.

“As for the question about interaction with the Netherlands, I did see messages about the fact that Russia refuses cooperation. This is absolutely not true. As you know, the government of the Netherlands shall report regularly to the Parliament of his country on the investigation of the disaster Boeing. But, as you know, the investigation stalled, the temptation, as we understand it, to put all the responsibility on Russia”, – said Zakharov.

According to her, Russia would like to have an explanation for how the investigation used and the data was recorded, that Russia is “a large volume of transmitted and transmits” to the Netherlands.

She also said that Russia is still waiting for a “clear response” at the results briefing, defense Ministry, held on 17 September, which claimed Ukrainian citizenship missile brought down the Boeing.

“Dialogue on the organization of the meeting continues, and the first contact in a trilateral format could take place in the coming months, unless, of course, Dutch and Australian side will refuse ultimatums and groundless political accusations and agree on a substantive professional conversation on the real key issues related to disaster Boeing”, – said Zakharov.

She added: “I note that the question of consultations on the case MH17 were discussed by Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia and the Netherlands in early December during the short contact on the sidelines of OSCE meeting in Milan. It is unlikely in the Dutch foreign Ministry managed to forget about it”.

As reported by UNN, in December, information appeared about the fact that the Netherlands is considering the possibility to initiate proceedings against Russia in international court after the Kremlin refused to recognize its responsibility for Downing the civilian airliner flight MH17 in the Donbas in 2014, which killed 298 people, many of whom were citizens of the Netherlands.

We will remind, the plane the Boeing-777 Malaysian airlines carrying out flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down by anti-aircraft missile complex “Buk” on the Russian hybrid aggression in Eastern Ukraine on 17 July 2014. Killed 298 people – all who were on Board. Under the agreement Ukraine, on whose territory the tragedy occurred, an international investigation – both technical and criminal – led by the Netherlands, whose citizens were among the victims. May 24, 2018 government of Australia and the Netherlands officially accused the Russian Federation in the plane crash.

Russia has consistently denied all the results of the investigation. In Moscow with his conclusions do not agree, and argue that it ignores the information provided by the Russian side.

In the Russian media and statements by officials, including the defense Ministry, was called completely different, often mutually exclusive versions of the disaster, which should remove the blame from the Russia – it is accused, in particular, of the Ukrainian military. However, in the course of the investigation they were all refuted.
