The German newspaper Der Spiegel, the Russian journalists of The Insider and the investigative group is Bellingcat revealed that the suspect in the murder of the Georgian field commander of Chechen origin Zelimkhan khangoshvili in Berlin could undergo training on the basis of the Center of special purpose FSB.

The authors of the investigation managed to get the billing phone of the alleged killer Vadim Krasikov, who had a passport in the name of Vadim Sokolov. According to journalists, in 2019 Krasikov repeatedly visited the main training base of tssn FSB, for example, in Balashikha (military unit 35690) he was at least eight times. “The last time he trained on the territory of this part 8 of August – just days before he went to Europe to commit murder,” writes The Insider.

In addition, Krasikov allegedly twice visited the building at the Vernadsky Prospekt 12, bld. 4 (also known as Sri “Surf”), where, according to data from public sources, is national anti-terrorist center and the research center of the FSB. There he appeared before the trip to Bryansk for a passport cover, according to the publication. Contacts with the FSB Krasikova occurred at a time when he was officially serving his sentence for the murder of businessman albert Nutrinova in Moscow in 2013 and the Deputy of the city Council Yury Kozlov in Kostomuksha in 2007.

According to the authors of the investigation, one of the fixed contacts Krasikova was Edward Bender, a veteran and head of the charity Fund “Vympel”. He is a private entrepreneur, the owner of several Firms, but has long had close ties with the leadership of the tssn FSB (this was discussed in a letter to the fighters of the “alpha” journalist Yuri Shchekochikhin, who died from poisoning with unknown substance), said “Novaya Gazeta”. Bender is also the Chairman of the Russian-Iraqi business Council, and his company got somehow exclusive right to the protection of the Russian oil facilities in Iraq. Bender and son-in-law is a Russian hacker Maxim Jakóbiec, for the capture of which the FBI is promising 5 million dollars. According to the American authorities, the Jakóbiec worked not only for their own sake, but in the interests of the FSB.

According to journalists, Krasikov repeatedly visited the office headed Bender of the Association “Vympel-A” and constantly called up to Bender and her staff.

Immediately after the murder, police detained a Russian citizen with a passport in the name of Vadim Sokolov. In Bellingcat told that he was wanted under the name of Vadim Krasikov, but later information about it was missing from databases of the Ministry of interior and Interpol.

The German side claimed that Russia has repeatedly refused to help with the establishment of the identity of the detainee. President Vladimir Putin denied any involvement of Russian secret services to murder, but it is no secret that the Russian authorities could claim to be khangoshvili. According to the President of the Russian Federation, he participated in the fighting in the Caucasus on the side of the separatists.
