In the American San Diego died Odessa satirist Simon Livshin, according to NSN. He was 79 years old.

Livshin was born on 9 January 1940. He worked in the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Iskra”, for 13 years he headed the Department of satire and humor “Antelope-GNU” in the newspaper “Evening Odessa”. Then moved to Moscow, worked in the newspaper “Izvestia”.
One of the main authors and participants of the first Odessa’s KVN team, the organizer of the first Odessa “Umoren”. He published several books ironic prose.
After moving to the United States continued to do editorial and journalistic work. Together with the President of the American League of KVN Eugene Kaminsky published a humorous Russian newspaper “OK!”.
