Makron about the future of the EU: Who does not want to go forward, should not interfere with
Uncategorized January 25, 2018The President of France Emmanuel macron at the world economic forum in Davos, said that Europe needs a ten-year strategy to make it stronger and to avoid fragmentation of the world. Excerpts from the speech of the President published in Facebook the people’s Deputy Mustafa Nayem, who is in Davos.
“I’m not naive, we’re not going to build something ambitious in 27. But we need to change our methodology and not to wait, when everything will break forth. Those who do not want to move forward, should not interfere with the ambitious majority,” – said macron.
The French President said that during the election campaign he had to compete with the nationalist party, because the country had no understanding of globalization.
“Some people have suggested as a solution to the crisis to withdraw from globalization. We have taken steps to avoid this, but let’s not be naive. Globalization is going through difficult times. I came here to call to action, each and every one of us. I am responsible for the creation of a prosperous and open France, but also for those who are behind us,” said macron.
He believes that there are five key reforms that will return the French leadership in the EU: human capital, investments and capital, increase the pace and flexibility, the fight against climate change and the change in the internal “culture” of France.
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel also saidthat EU needs to act more United on the world stage and make faster decisions.
