Majlis has warned the PACE of the return of the delegation of the Russian Federation

KIEV. 13 Dec. UNN. The Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people made an appeal to the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, calling not to allow the return of part of the Assembly of the Russian delegation. Text prepared appeals announced the head of Majlis of the krymskotatarsky people Refat Chubarov on his page on Facebook, reports UNN.

“Majlis firmly believes that at this stage there is no basis for Russia’s return to PACE… If Russia unconditionally return to the PACE, the Assembly and its members will be responsible jointly with Moscow over the next kidnapping, arrests, imprisonment and torture in the Crimea, which are used to suppress dissent and freedom. If the Council of Europe will allow Russia to succeed in blackmail, he would be tarnished, and our hope for international support for the liberation of our homeland will fade… “- said in the text of the appeal to the COE Secretary General, ambassadors, the President and members of the PACE.

The Mejlis of the appeal called on the PACE to oppose the return of the credentials of the Russian delegation to PACE before the full implementation of the requirements established by the Assembly and the Committee of Ministers in their resolutions.

Thus, R. Chubarov noted that on 13 December the Deputy head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz will hold in Strasbourg a series of meetings, which will state the position of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people in the matter of restoring/not restoring the authority of the Russian delegation in PACE.

A formal appeal of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people will be also sent to the PACE President, deputies, members of PACE and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
