It won’t get any easier: the forecaster advised Ukrainians to prepare for a “prolonged heat wave”
In the near future, one should not expect any noticeable weakening of the abnormal heat that has covered Ukraine.
The heat wave in Ukraine will be delayed for now. It is not worth waiting for a noticeable decrease in temperatures in the coming weeks.
Weather forecaster Natalka Didenko shared such an alarming forecast with Ukrainians on July 13.
“I would like to tell you that you need to endure such a strong heat a little bit – and that’s it, the weakening will come. But I don’t want to give myself and you empty hopes. It is necessary to understand, realize and prepare for a prolonged heat wave,” Didenko said.
According to her, the peak heat in Ukraine is expected in the coming days. The air temperature in the country will be set within +35…40°C and even higher in some areas.
The blazing sun and the absence of rain can even be accompanied by tornadoes. There is also a high risk of forest fires these days.
“A slight relief, a decrease in air temperature by several degrees is possible in the west, north of Ukraine, in Vinnytsia region for the duration of July 18-20,” the expert said. At the same time, the southern, eastern and central regions will remain in the high temperature zone.
After a slight weakening of the heat, the degrees may rise again.
In the capital of Ukraine, the heat peak is expected in the period from July 14 to July 16. The air temperature will be set within +36…39°C. No precipitation is expected. On July 18-20, the heat will settle down a little, and then return back.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine was in the epicenter of a temperature anomaly.
