Latvia will buy from Sweden grenade launchers for €1.1 million

National armed forces of Latvia has announced the purchase of the party 84 mm anti-tank grenade launchers, spare parts and charges for them. About it reports Delfi.

The amount of the transaction concluded with the Swedish company SAAB Dynamics AB, is 1 099 173 euros.

The Latvian army does not disclose exactly what kind of grenade it is.

At the moment, already used the old grenade launchers Carl Gustaf of similar calibre, however, in this case speech can go about the more modern versions of 2014, which is more compact and weighs 6.6 kg instead of 10 kg.

“In the National armed forces admitted that the negotiations on the purchase had occurred “blindly” – without notice to the public about the intention to conclude the agreement”, – notes the edition.
