Land Scam in Kharkov Kernes could be a suspect
Uncategorized October 3, 2017The mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes could be a suspect in the case of the fraudulent removal of land from the ownership of the city, which already included former Kharkiv mayor, MP from the Opposition bloc Mikhail Dobkin. This was at the briefing on Tuesday, 3 October, said Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.
The head of the GPU noted that the pre-trial investigation to Kharkiv already returned about 100 hectares of land previously received by developers, according to a fraudulent scheme without payment of rent.
According to Lutsenko, the investigation “sufficient evidence” to charge defendants in the case, what will be done “soon” after the completion of examinations.
The attorney General said that Dobkin now has the status of suspect in this production. “A formal indictment will be handed over to him after receiving (the results of) examination and completion of a number of other investigative actions,” he added.
Lutsenko said that he could not name names of specific persons, which came out a result, however, the whole scheme presented in the Parliament by making a submission on the removal of immunity Dobkin, “confirmed”.

“With regard to the role of Mr Kernes, the investigation also carefully work. At the moment when we get enough evidence to bring suspicion, it will be shown,” – said the Prosecutor General.
13 Jul 2017, Glad lifted the immunity from Dobkin and allowed his detention and arrest. On 14 July the Deputy gave the suspect under article 364 (abuse of office) and article 190 of the criminal code (fraud).
On 15 July the Pechersky court of Kiev arrested Dobkin with the possibility of release on bail in 50 million hryvnias. The pledge made by the Deputy from the opposition bloc Vadim Novinsky and ex-MP Borys Kolesnikov.
