The Minister told reporters in Brussels after a Ministerial meeting of the “Friends of Ukraine in the EU + Ukraine” at the level of heads of foreign ministries of the member States of the European Union.

“Very good discussions in the transatlantic context between the European Union and the United States, which took place last week, was held in Munich. By the way, next week will be the visit of the ships in Odessa”, – said Klimkin.

“And there, by the way, the European Union will also play a role, and we have a very clear sense of transatlantic solidarity”, – said Klimkin.

As UNIAN reported earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that the Alliance is considering strengthening its presence in the Black sea to support Ukraine. In the coming days, the NATO ships will enter the Black sea to participate in military exercises.

The Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said that in 2019, the NATO ships almost every month will come into the Ukrainian ports.
