Kiev will host the first international festival of light

In Kiev today, may 12, starts the first international festival of light Lights Festival Kyiv. This was reported in the press service of Kyiv city state administration.

At the opening ceremony, which will take place at 21:00 at the Postal square, viewers will see the show drones and a spectacular 3D show on the building of the River station.

The festival, which is part of the official program of events dedicated to the “Eurovision-2017” will last for three days.

The main locations of Kyiv Lights Festival will be Kontraktovaya, Postal square near the River station, St. Michael square and St. Andrew’s descent. In KSCA said that such luminous festivals are regularly held in the capitals of the world. Now they will be joined by Kiev.

Kyiv Lights Festival will unite videodizainas, artists of light and laser, VJs, as well as contemporary artists from Europe, Asia, and Australia.

“Every day at four sites of the festival will be held contests 3D mapping, non-competitive projects, accompanied by live music, large-scale light shows, VJs, exhibition of works of Ukrainian contemporary artists working with light, numerous light installations and sculptures in the urban space”, – stated in the message.

There will also be lectures and workshops on wireing, videotaping, modern architecture and urbanism from the Ukrainian and foreign experts. Entrance to all lectures is free.

The festival will be held international contest of videotaping and competition of vjing. Both contest will be judged by an international jury.

Entrance to the festival is free.

The Eurovision song contest-2017 will take place may 13 at 22:00 in Kiev.
