Kaskiv: Returned to Ukraine voluntarily, I plead

The former head of the state Agency for investment and national projects when Viktor Yanukovych Kaskiv said that he returned from Panama to Ukraine voluntarily, but was not extradited, as is said in the GPU. He reported about it in Facebook.

“I do voluntarily returned to Ukraine. My position is simple – I will prove his innocence in court,” he wrote.

He said that he appealed to the authorities of Panama to agree voluntarily to come to Ukraine on 18 September, and 27 October, the Supreme court of Panama granted his request, allegedly received from Kiev guarantees not to press additional charges.

“In order to stop speculation on the loss to the state decided to reimburse them regardless of the final decision of the court. For the same reasons, decided to pay for their own flights,” – said Kaskiv.

Today, he returned to Ukraine.

In March 2016 Kaskiv was declared on the wanted list on suspicion of embezzling 7.5 million UAH of budgetary funds. 8 Sep Lutsenko declared that ex-the head of the state Agency for investments , was arrested in Panama. In GPU declared that will petition for commutation of sentence for Kaskiv, if he will make a deal with the investigation.

10 September of the same year, the court in Panama Kaciceva chose a measure of restraint in the form of a Deposit of $600 thousand and the restriction of movement in the capital. About a year ago he posted bail. According to the PGO, ex-official asked for political asylum in this country, but Panama he refused.

November 1, 2017, the PGO said that Kaskiv was deported from Panama to Ukraine.
