Japan declared the era name of the new Emperor

KIEV. April 1. UNN. The era of the reign of the new Emperor of Japan called the Rave. She will start may 1. It is reported by UNN with reference to BBC.

The Secretary-General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Yoshihide Suga showed a plate containing two calligraphically written characters of the title, which will now be called the years of a new monarch on the throne. The word “Rave” is conventionally translated as “order and harmony”.

This word comes from the ancient anthology of Japanese poetry “Manyoshu”.

The current 85-year-old Emperor Akihito of Japan will leave the throne on 30 April at his own request in connection with old age. The next day the new Emperor will be proclaimed his eldest son – crown Prince of Naruhito. It will mean the offensive first year of the era of the Rave.

We will remind, in Japan there are two systems of chronology – the usual international and for years monarchs on the throne. Thus, the country is simultaneously going 2019 the year and the 31st year of Heisei (meaning “peace and harmony”) – the so-called era of the reign of the current Emperor Akihito.
