Israel approved the death penalty for terrorists

The document introduced by the defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, the deputies approved the vote on Wednesday, January 3. In order that the bill was finally adopted, it is necessary to conduct three rounds of voting.
Its full support for the bill also expressed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that the document is not a whim of the authorities, and terrorism needs to be introduced, capital punishment, since the attack is a war crime. According to him, the terrorists should feel the full weight of the law.

According to the text of the bill, the military Prosecutor can seek the death penalty for terrorists in its sole discretion. In addition, it is proposed that the death sentence be made by a unanimous decision of the military court, and a majority of the judges. The bill also prohibits leniency after the issuance of a final death sentence.
