In the Odessa region border guards detained two cars with illegal and contraband cigarettes

KIEV. 26 Feb. UNN. In the Odessa region, near the state border near the village of Fedosiivka border guards detained two cars with illegal and contraband cigarettes. This was reported to UNN in the press service of the gpsu.

The car “VAZ” with three persons stopped by the border guards yesterday near the state border near the village of Fedosiivka Okeanskogo district of Odessa region. In the car were two citizens of Ukraine and a citizen of Pakistan.

In the course of further events 200 metres from the state border frontier guards have detained another “VAZ”. During the inspection the driver of the car tried to flee the scene of the stop. Warning shots up stopped further resistance to militiamen. In the car was discovered a box of cigarettes of the Moldavian production.

Citizens of Ukraine were drawn up protocols on administrative offence under part 2 of article 204 Article (Illegal crossing or attempt of illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine). Their further destiny will be decided by the court.

Citizen of Pakistan has detained up to 3 days with the purpose of identification.

Cargo of cigarettes will be transferred to representatives Okeanskogo National police station in Odessa region after the completion of all investigative actions.
