As reports “Radio Liberty”, both incidents happened on November 30. So, suicide in Odessa pre-trial detention committed in the yard for walks. One of the defendants walked out there alone and hanged himself. The rope he probably brought with them, although the internal regulations it was supposed to search before going out for a walk.
The second suicide on 30 November, made in the 51st colony inmate also hanged himself.
It is noted that earlier while walking suicide tried to commit another defendant Odessa prison – he hit a steel plate into the abdominal cavity. His life was saved. According to official information, the reason for attempted suicide was conflict with the family.
Information about the incidents to journalists was confirmed by the head of Department of Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region Vladimir Kolomiets.

For both suicides registered criminal proceedings under article 115 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (premeditated murder).
As noted by the Prosecutor, the victims are not connected. According to available information, they were not acquainted, were held on various criminal proceedings, telephony was not among them.
Kolomiets agreed that who died in prison was to be searched before entering the courtyard, so it was a violation of the regime requirements. As a violation of the regime requirements was to release the defendant on one yard, but on this occasion there are certain differences. According to the recommendations of international humanitarian organizations, the prisoner is entitled on lonely walks.
