Airport “Kharkiv” in talks with the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair and considers a high probability that the airline in the next year or two may begin to operate flights to Kharkov. This opinion was expressed by the commercial Director of the airport, Vladyslav Ilyin in his interview The center for transport strategies.

“With other low-cost airlines (apart from Wizz Air – ed.) we also deal, for example with the same Ryanair. They, like other budget airlines, one of the main requirements is the implementation of an increasing number of short flights during the day,” – said Ilyin.

According to him, the return Wizz Air is a positive signal for Ryanair and other airlines.

“I think, if not this year, then next year have a very good chance that Ryanair can fly to Kharkiv”, – said a top Manager.


Earlier, Wizz Air announced the return to Kharkiv, from where it will operate flights to Dortmund and Katowice since April and June respectively.
