The area of forest fires in the Irkutsk region as of 21 August is 37.4 thousand hectares.
“Continue to operate three fires on the square of 37 460 hectares, they are all located in the Katanga district”, — stated in the message on the website of the regional government.
It is noted that in extinguishing the fire involved 264 people, attracted by the 38 units. Two Antonov An-2, two light aircraft and two Mi-8 helicopter involved in the monitoring of fires.
It is specified that the area of active burning is 110 hectares.
Earlier it was reported that in Yakutia during the day, 34 extinguished the forest fire.
