54 passengers were lost.

Most of the victims were students, who came for the holidays.

The boat sank due to the fact that it was overcrowded and it was ruled by drunk people.

In the Congo, often there are cases when the boat is off angle. Mostly this comes from the fact that there are too many passengers. The boat is one of the main modes of transportation in the country.
