In Syria shelled a Turkish military convoy: at least 3 dead
KIEV. 19 Aug. UNN. Three civilians were killed and 12 injured in an attack on a Turkish military convoy in Idlib. On Monday said the Ministry of national defence of Turkey, reports UNN.
“There was an attack on our convoy, moving at observation post nine. Three civilians killed, 12 injured”, — is spoken in published on the Ministry website statement. It is noted that these persons “were in the area of the location of the convoy”.
The Ministry noted that the “convoy was sent to Idlib for the ninth observation post on August 19 at 05:30 (time coincides with Kiev)”. The purpose of this transfer “was support security item, security of supply routes, preventing the deaths of civilians and reduced tensions between the warring parties”.
The President of Turkey separately reported that “informed Russia about the transfer”. “We strongly condemn the attack carried out by forces of the regime (of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad), which is a violation of our agreements and agreements with the Russian Federation. We reserve the sovereign right to defense and expect that immediate steps will be taken to avoid recurrence of such incidents”, — said the Agency.
As reported UNN, recently from airstrikes in Syria have killed more than 20 civilians.
