In Solomon Islands a powerful earthquake occurred

KIEV. 14 Jan. UNN. In the Pacific ocean off the coast of the Solomon Islands earthquake of a magnitude of 5.9. It is reported by UNN with reference to Geological service of the USA.

The epicenter was located 145 kilometers South-East of the city Kirakira.

Tremors were recorded at 11.24 UTC 145 kilometers South-East of the city Kirakira. The center was located at a depth of 23.5 kilometer.

Information on casualties or damage were reported. The threat of a tsunami has not been announced.

As reported UNN, on the night of 10 January in the Caribbean sea off the coast of Honduras has been a 7.6 magnitude earthquake.
