In Russia died a famous designer of aircraft engines

KIEV. 14 Jan. UNN. A designer and scientist in the field of aircraft engine construction Alexander Sarkisov died January 13, on 83-m to year of life. It is reported TASS with reference to press-service of United engine Corporation (UEC), reports UNN.
“Yes, sadly, an outstanding designer Alexander Sarkisov died on 13 January”, – said the press service.
As the Executive Director of JSC “ODK-Klimov” Alexander Vatagin, he died after a long illness.
Sarkisov was born on 19 may 1936 in Moscow, in 1959, he graduated from the Ufa aviation Institute, “aircraft Engines”. Then to 1982, he worked at the Ufa design Bureau of the Ministry of aviation industry of the USSR, where he rose from design engineer to Deputy chief designer – Deputy head of the OKB. However, he combined the basic work with teaching at the Ufa aviation Institute.
He made a great contribution to the creation and production of aviation gas turbine engines for military and civil aircraft such as the su-15, su-25, MiG-21BIS, MiG-29, Il-114, An-140, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-28, Ka-32, Ka-50, Ka-52 and unmanned aircraft. Under his leadership there was developed a digital system of automatic control and control unit for automatic regulation and control, greatly improve the efficiency and reliability of operation of the engine.
