In Odessa was opened by Ukraine’s first telemedicine center

KIEV. July 13. UNN. On the basis of Odessa regional clinical hospital created Ukraine’s first telemedicine center. It is reported by UNN citing the press-service of the Odessa regional state administration in Facebook.

“Today we open not only the regional telemedicine center, but also launched a network emergency consultations provides doctors with a powerful new high-tech tool for the job,” – said at the opening ceremony, acting Chairman of the regional state administration Svetlana Shatalova.

According to her, the offices of the telemedicine consultations are deployed in the emergency and diagnostic departments of 35 district and city hospitals and 19 medical institutions of regional subordination. This network allows both, in emergency and in a planned manner remotely to organize the doctors to save the lives of patients and resolve complex diagnostic issues.

Odessa region became the first in Ukraine to create such a vertically integrated system for telemedical consultations, which included 84 medical institutions – from the family practice clinic and Central district hospitals in specialist regional hospitals.

The RSA reminded that the formation of a telemedicine network in Odessa region began in 2017 after the acquisition of 198 mobile diagnostic complexes for paramedics and nurses family clinics that allow you to measure vital signs of the patient and transfer them to the family doctor for diagnosis and determination of treatment plan. In turn, any of the family doctors may receive, if necessary, expert opinion of highly qualified physician – a specialist of one of the regional medical institutions.

Recall, hospitals in the regions will receive free medication for patients with viral hepatitis C.
