In Odessa there was a shootout between police and a suspect, which law enforcement officers tried to detain. About it reports a press-service of the police of Odessa region.

“Today on the street Novoselskogo, during the arrest of a man who was wanted on suspicion of committing a criminal offence, the attacker began to resist and opened fire on police with automatic firearms”, – stated in the message.

In the shooting was killed another man and injured three police officers and random bystanders of the incident.

In response, the police used organic firearms, with the result that the offender was eliminated.

According to the publication “Dumskaya”, dead – Valentin Doroshenko, known for his Pro-Russian views. He called himself a member of the “party of Stalin”, in 2010, ran for mayor and was summoned by the then mayor Eduard Gurvits on the duel came to the town on a horse with sword in hand.
