In Odessa the tax inspector arrested for bribery

The Deputy chief of Department of the State tax inspection of one of districts of Odessa accused demanded a bribe for issuing the certificate of VAT payer. About it reports a press-service of the Channel.

“In the office office workers of Department of protection of the economy in Odessa region of Ukraine together with the military Prosecutor of the southern region of Ukraine detained the taxman. She received from the businessman for five thousand hryvnias of a bribe”, – stated in the message.

In fact was opened criminal proceedings under part 3 St. 368 (bribery) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Law enforcement authorities established that the money the Deputy chief of Department of the State tax inspection of one of districts of the city demanded from the businessman for obtaining the certificate of the payer of value added tax.

For corruption, the offender faces imprisonment for the term from five till ten years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years with confiscation of property.

31 March 2017 militiamen detained “on hot” during receiving a bribe the Deputy of the Chernigov regional Council from party Our region Artur Zinoviev, who is Deputy head of the Commission of regional Council on rules of parliamentary ethics, the rule of law and preventing corruption.
